I don't like this
*Wednesday, November 19, 2008
There has been a deluge of negative news recently, leaving me feeling a little down. So here are some messages for those involved:
To the protesters in Bangkok, your actions are bringing about greater harm to the country you call home.
To the terrorists who attacked Mumbai, I do not know the motive for your attack, but then innocent lives were lost in the crossfire, and their deaths will always stain your hands. I'm left wondering what is the message that you wanted to put across with these senseless attacks.
To the victims of the attacks, rest in peace.
To the relatives of the victims, I know that nothing I say can alleviate your grief. It was senseless; it was and still is tragic.
To the family members of Mr Nordin Montong, the cleaner killed by the white tigers in the Singapore Zoo, I hope you can come to a closure soon, if there still isn't one.
I don't like the way people are harming themselves and others.
I don't like how there can be senseless killings and attacks.
I don't like how the innocent are always the ones that suffer the most in a crossfire. If you want to fight a war, leave out those who are uninvolved.
I don't like how my friends are all stressing over one thing or another and I can only sit and watch helplessly.
I don't like it when my friends are unhappy.
I don't like this depressing air settling over me.
That's why I got to stay cheerful: it's (almost) always infectious.
Goodness knows we all need some cheer in our lives right now.

Happiness can be simple.
